PharmSim

Welcome to PharmSim!

The goal of the PharmSim simulation is to enhance students' understanding of the relationships between drug dosing schedules, patient body types, drug concentrations in the body and final outcomes.

PharmSim lets the student explore these relationships through experimentation with antibiotics on simulated patients. The student is allowed to select an infection, configure (or choose) a patient and determine a dose regimen (dosing times and amounts).

Our simulation engine then determines the drug concentration in the body over time and the effect on bacteria population over time. Students view these results on an interactive graph. They can save the results from one run, change one or more parameters and run the experiment again, and compare the results.
